Mysuru: The fear of Coronavirus
in K R Nagar taluk is subsided with all the six testing negative for the virus. So also in H D Kote taluk.

Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar told media in K R Nagar “a truck driver from Wayanad in Kerala had tested positive in his state. He had come to Saale Koppal village near Chunchanakatte here and also H D Kote to buy ginger and later went to Koyambedu Market in Tamil Nadu, the epicentre of virus in that state, from where alone hundreds of people have contracted the virus. However he was tested positive later in his home state Kerala”.

As all those in his primary contact here have been tested negative, it is clear that the truck driver was not infected on his arrival in K R Nagar. However the testing of only one person in his contact in K R Nagar remains to be conducted and the process is underway and there is nothing to panic further.

From Saale Koppal village alone three had been taken in the ambulance for Covid-19 test, that had indeed triggered panic among the villagers.

Earlier, as soon as the Mysuru district administration was alerted by the authorities in Wayanad about the truck driver testing positive, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar had instructed the taluk authorities to take measures in this regard.

Following this a team of officials led by Circle Police Inspector P K Raju had rushed to the village in the wee hours. The team of officials included PSI Chetan, taluk health officer Dr Mahendrappa, Health Inspector K V Ramesh and Junior Assistant Praveen.
