1 min read

Mysuru: In a positive trend, the district has reported no Covid-19 case since the last 14 days. This has come as a big relief not only to the Corona warriors but people also, who wish that, as their good old Mysuru was lost in the lockdown due to the pandemic.

This could also mean that the city may be shifted from Red zone to other zone whichever felt eligible by the authorities.
Mysuru had registered 90 positive Covid-19 cases, of which 88 were discharged from Covid hospital until May 13. The district administration has continued treatment for two cases in isolation. And additionally, 521 people added to quarantine, newly.
Besides, earlier, there were 12 containment areas but they are no longer containment zones since May 14. Mysuru is inching towards green zone, now. However, it is the Central government that identifies the zone depending on the situation over there.
Meanwhile, Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde in his press release gave a green signal for business activities in 91 streets in the nine zones of MCC. Earlier, restrictions were in place except on the essential services. The restrictions on saloons, spa, religious places, congregation, taxi and auto services will continue until May 17.
It was in March 20, Mysuru reported first Covid -19 positive case and lockdown was announced on March 24. After 52 days, Mysuru is partially Corona-free.
