Bid to change name of villages with Kannada essence in Kasargod! MP Prathap Simha wants pro- Kannada activists, writers to raise their voice

1 min read

Mysuru: Mysuru -Kodagu MP Pratap Simha has sought the intervention of State Government over Kerala State Government’s move to rename villages having Kannada name in Kasargod region, with Malayalam.

Simha said “Kannada activists and literary personalities should raise their voice and condemn such move. The Karnataka government also should intervene in this issue.”

Simha also flayed the opposition parties for finding fault in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s portrait on Covid Vaccination Certificate.

“Those who have raised a hue and cry are printing their photos on grocery kits being issued to the needy. The printing of public representatives photo on vaccination certificate and other benefits is not an issue at all,” Simha claimed.

“I am not interested in becoming a minister. I am already doing my work as a MP and will continue with it,” he added.

However, Simha refused to comment on the Viveka Memorial row involving the activists of Save NTMS Committee and Sri Ramakrishna Ashram.
