Bhoomika M R, secures highest of 18 Gold Medals, 4 cash prizes in MSc Chemistry from University of Mysore

Mysuru: Bhoomika M R, who has excelled in MSc Chemistry from the University of Mysore, with first rank, has bagged highest of 18 Gold medals and four cash prizes.

Bhoomika will be receiving the honour at the 105th convocation of University of Mysore, at the Senate Hall in Crawford Hall on Saturday.

Hailing from a middle class family, Bhoomika’s life is a story of grit and determination, facing many odds in her life. She is a resident of Hebbal second stage in the city.

All was going well, till she lost her father Ravikumar B N, to cardiac arrest in the year 2020. He was a financier, but following his sudden demise, the family was in a state of quandary.

Bhoomika’s mother, H A Nethravathi, a home maker, who was witness to her daughter’s academic excellence, didn’t lose hope. The income of several thousands of rupees earned from renting their houses, was the only source of revenue.

Now, her efforts have paid off, with Bhoomika looking for a perfect job, to take care of the family. She has cleared KSET conducted for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in 2024.

For record, Bhoomika was a topper in CBSE Class X too, from Shikshkarni Central School, with 10 cgpa. She received a merit certificate from secondary education board Delhi and 2gm gold medal, for her feat.

She cleared II PUC ( PCMB) in distinction from Seshadripuram Independent PU College, Mysuru and BSc (CBZ) from Maharani’s Science College for Women, in distinction with 9.5 cgpa, emerging as a highest scorer.

Now in Master’s degree in General chemistry, she has scored 9 cgpa, becoming a first ranker.

Bhoomika has a younger brother, studying First PUC in Sadvidya College and she wants to do all her mite in making him a successful person in life.
