Mysuru: Mysore Amity Ladies Circle 108 inaugurated the Toilet Block project and newly renovated classrooms at Bharti Stri Samaj School, Mysore at Gokulam.

Project Toilet Block and newly renovated classrooms were inaugurated by National President Aanchal Khullar, Ladies Circle India and Area 13 Chairperson, Nandita Fernandes.
Others present at the inauguration were 156 Chairman, Suraj Krishnam, school staff, students, fellow circlers and tablers.

Bharti Stri Samaj was started in the year 1934 by Sinclair, the wife of then General Manager of Mysore State Railway together with the wives of other railway officers. In 1940 they thought of stepping into the educational field and started a nursery school with English medium exclusively for the benefit of the children of railway employees. Gradually classes were added up to 7th standard and the school was kept open for general public.
The school had only one toilet which impacted the health and hygiene of the children. Mysore Amity Ladies Circle 108 has provided the school with another toilet block and renovated the entire class room, which was not in use but is now ready to be utilised.
Speaking about the event Aparna Ranga, Chairperson, MALC 108, said “Basic hygiene is a serious risk factor in ensuring the health of children in our schools. As members of Ladies Circle India, we are committed to make a positive difference in our communities, particularly in the lives of underprivileged children. We firmly believe that education is the foundation upon which a brighter future is built. The newly constructed toilet block stands to ensure that our students no longer have to compromise their well-being and hygiene while pursuing their education. With this facility, we affirm our commitment to nurturing every child’s physical and emotional needs, empowering them to learn, grow, and thrive”.
Mysore Amity Round Table 156 has also contributed and joined hands to make this project a grand success.
The Mysore Amity Ladies Circle 108 actively engages in a variety of charitable activities aimed at improving society.
In addition to constructing classrooms and bathroom blocks and providing educational materials, they have also contributed to causes such as cancer treatment and women’s empowerment.
