Betta Kurubas in ST: BJP leader Jogi Manju thanks PM Narendra Modi
1 min readMysuru: BJP Mysuru district backward classes Morcha President Jogi Manju has welcomed the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led central government to include Betta Kurubas in Karnataka in Scheduled Tribe (ST).
The centre has made justice to the community that is mostly settled in forest fringes and hilly areas in Chamarajanagar and Kodagu which is economically, socially and educationally backward, with sheep rearing being their traditional occupation.
During May 2021, Kaginele Kanaka Guru Peeta head Sri Niranjanananda Puri and K S Eshwarappa in February 2021 at the international exhibition, lakhs of people had aired the demand.
“I would like to thank PM Narendra Modi on behalf of 70 lakh kurubas in Karnataka”, added Jogi Manju.
