Be careful! purse lifters on prowl
1 min readTwo women have lost their purses containing valuables triggering suspicion of thefts in the city.
Gangamma who had boarded a KSRTC bus alighted at KSRTC rural bus stand next to city bus stand during noon hours on New Sayyaji Rao road. She had kept her purse in a bag, which had been allegedly lifted while travelling in the bus. It contained a ‘avalakki’ chain and ear ring weighing 100 grams.
Devaraja police are probing the case.
Suma a singer had gone to perform at a programme organised in memory of singer Raju Ananthaswamy. She went on the stage to sing a song after leaving behind her bag near the chair below. She returned to her seat later and found that the purse was missing.
Ashokapuram police have registered a case.
