Basava Jayanti celebration on May 7, 8 in city

Mysuru: Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Mahasabha in association with various other organisations will be celebrating Basava Jayanti on May 7 and 8 at 11 am at Kalamandira in the city.
S M Jambukeshwar has told media on Saturday ‘ The Mahasabha in association with various other veerashaiva Lingayat associations and federation of basava balaga will be celebrating the occasion’.
Suttur seer Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the ceremony. Former chief justice of supreme court Justice M N Venkatachalaiah will inaugurate, in the presence of Siddeshwara Swamiji of Jnana Yogashram, Vijayapura.
Historian S Shettar will deliver keynote address.
