New Delhi: Mysuru and Kodagu MP Prathap Simha on Thursday met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman.
Simha explained to the minister about travails being faced by the students of Karnataka appearing for Indian Banking Probationary Service ( IBPS) exams and railway recruitment board ( RRB) exams.
If the candidates appearing for RRB exams are allowed to write in their local language as per the ordinance issued in 2014, it will be helpful to them.
The candidates who have studied in their local language from class 1 to 10 only should be allowed to apply for RRB exams.
MPs Tejaswi Surya, Shobha Karandlaje, B Y Raghavendra and G M Siddeshwar and Rajya Sabha member Prabhakar Kore were also present in the meeting with the minister.
