Bandh effect: Cricketer Anil Kumble takes BMTC bus to reach home

Bengaluru: Like thousands who felt the pinch of Bengaluru bandh on Monday, it was no different for former India captain and coach Anil Kumble, too.
Kumble had to take the BMTC bus ride to reach his home from the airport as the private transport vehicles were off the road as part of the bandh.
Sharing his photo from inside the BMTC bus, former cricketer Kumble wrote on X, “BMTC trip back home today from the airport.”
All private vehicles including autorickshaws, cabs, corporate vehicles, airport taxis had suspended their services as the government failed to meet their demands.
However, later in the day, Transport Minister agreed upon 27 demands and the bandh was called off.
