Bakrid celebrations: Police Commissioner holds peace meeting

Mysuru: In view of the upcoming Bakrid celebrations, a peace meeting was held with Hindu and Muslim community members at the police Commissioner’s office here on Monday.
During the meeting, Police Commissioner Ramesh B directed the community members to ensure peace and harmony during the celebrations. He further stated that strict action will be taken against those trying to disturb law and order during the celebrations.
DCP (Law and Order) M Murthuraj, DCP Jahnavi S (Crime and Traffic) and ACPs of Narasimharaja, Devaraja, Krishnaraja and Vijayanagar divisions, inspectors from Narasimharaja, Mandi, Udayagiri and Lashkar police stations were present.
