Mysuru: Ayudha puja was performed at Mysuru palace in keeping with the age old rituals in practice on Thursday.
The members of erstwhile royal family did puja for weapons which were used by their ancestors. The rituals started early morning at 5:30 am. Weapons were taken to Kodi Someshwara temple within the palace precincts for puja.
Scion of erstwhile royal family Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar performed puja for weapons, Pattada aane (Royal elephant), Pattada Kudure (Royal Horse), Pattada Hasu (Royal Cow) and Pattada Onte (Royal Camel) between 11:02 AM and 11:22 AM at Kannadi thotti.
