Avoid tour plans to Mysuru: Appeal to tourists

1 min read

Mysuru: In the wake of heavy rainfall being received in the district and heavy discharge of water from dams to rivers, the district administration has appealed to the tourists to avoid planning to visit the district on tour.

The authorities are expecting an increase in tourist arrivals in view of the four days continuous holiday from August 9 to 12 on account of Varamahalaksmi festival followed by second Saturday, Sunday and Bakrid festival on August 12.

There are possibilities of tourists visiting places of tourist interests like Nanjangud, Talkad and other places where the rivers are flowing at dangerous level.

As a precautionary measure, boating has been suspended at River Kapila in Nanjangud.

There are chances of tourists venturing into water to take selfie photos on their Cell phones. It is better to drop Mysuru from the itinerary of tourists for now.
