Attention birders! Mysuru Bird Fest on December 28, 29

Mysuru: Buoyed by the response received by the maiden Mysuru Bird Fest in 2018, the district administration is preparing to host the second edition on December 28 and 29 in the city for winter.
According to Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar also an avid birder “It will be jointly organised by district administration, tourism department, forest department, Mysuru zoo, Mysore Nature Group and Regional Museum of Natural History (RMNH)”.
A registration fee of Rs 300 will be charged per entriy ( Only 100 entries) and the participants will be provided with lunch, tea and dinner on the inaugural day. On second day, breakfast, lunch and tea is arranged.
There will be a total of five talks by experts on various topics related to birding on both the days.
There will be two field visits, one each on both the days, led by knowledgeable resource persons. Birding sites are all around 30 minutes distance from the city, and covers wetlands and scrub/degraded forest. Participants will be divided into six teams by the organisers.
