ATMECE IEEE student branch opened on campus

Mysuru: ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru opened IEEE Student branch on its campus recently. Dr L Basavaraj Principal, ATMECE inaugurated the branch. 

The event was streamed online for guests, students & participants.

Puneet Kumar Mishra, Head Satellite Antenna Characterisation, U R Rao Satellite Centre, ISRO and Chair-IEEE Bangalore section was the chief guest. He spoke on various opportunities offered through IEEE.

Mishra also stressed on various technologies and gave insights on Signal Processing society, EMB, IEEE Block chain, IEEE cyber Security etc., and explained funding opportunities such as HAC project, Scholarship, Award for
IEEE members.

Guests of Honor Dr D N Sujatha SAC Co-Chair, IEEE Bangalore Section during her address gave insights about Right Practices of IEEE Student Branch.

Dr Bindu A Thomas Execom Member, IEEE WIE, Prof. & Head, Dept. of ECE, VVIET , Mysuru addressed about IEEE WIE affinity group and opportunity & benefits having women in engineering.

Prof Raghavendra Prasad S G SAC Chair, IEEE Bengaluru section addressed about the benefits of IEEE membership as student, faculty and for the Institution.

Dr Parameshachari B D Secretary, IEEE CAS Society Bangalore Chapter, Professor & Head, TCE Dept, GSSSIETW, Mysuru gave insights about the activities and discipline specific IEEE society for students and faculty members.

Joshua H Rayapuri, IEEE Student Chair, ATMECE shared his views about the benefits of IEEE and objectives of student members to organize technical events like webinar, project, quiz etc.,

Dr M S Govinde Gowda, Dean Academics, Dr Bhagyashree S R Dean Research, Dr. Rathnakar G Dean Student Affairs, Dr Parthasarathy L, IEEE Student Counselor, Heads of various departments, faculty members and IEEE student members were present.
