ATMECE hosts Hands-On Workshop ‘Crafting Mini Projects with General Purpose PCBs and Self-Soldering’

Mysuru: The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, ATME College of Engineering (ATMECE), in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch, co-hosted a Hands-On Workshop titled “Crafting Mini Projects with General Purpose PCBs and Self-Soldering”.

The workshop was tailored for third-semester students of Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
The students were provided with hands-on training experience in soldering techniques and PCB assembly. The students engaged in soldering various electronic components like ICs onto PCBs, followed by the process of desoldering them.

The students gained knowledge about the etching process used in PCB. The students constructed mini-projects and presented the technical aspects to the jury members during the exhibition.

The event was graced by Dr A K Murthy, Principal, Dr Parthasarathy L, Head of the Department of EEE and other faculty members.

Dr Parthasarathy L, the programme convener, motivated students to engage in technical competitions and encouraged them to explore new ideas by developing innovative projects for societal impact.

The valedictory ceremony celebrated the winners of the mini-project competition, who received cash prizes and certificates for their achievements.

Principal Dr A K Murthy, advised students to actively participate in events and showcase their innovative ideas through project exhibitions.
