Asthanya Charitable Trust holds plastic cleanup at Chamundi Hill

Mysuru: The Asthanya Charitable Trust proudly concluded its latest initiative under the “My Place, My Responsibility” programme with a successful plastic cleanup activity at the footsteps of Chamundi Hill on Sunday.
A dedicated group of 22 to 25 volunteers gathered to tackle the pressing issue of plastic pollution, collecting an impressive 25 to 30 kilograms of plastic waste.

The campaign, held in one of Mysore’s beloved natural landmarks, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of reducing plastic consumption and promoting responsible disposal practices. Volunteers worked tirelessly to gather litter, demonstrating their commitment to preserving the environment for future generations.
“This event is a testament to our mission of fostering community responsibility towards our surroundings,” said a spokesperson from the Asthanya Charitable Trust.
