Assembly elections: Mandya is my home and I will announce my decision there, says MP Sumalatha Ambareesh

Bengaluru: Actor-turned politician Sumalatha Ambareesh continued to keep everyone guessing about her next political move when she spoke to the mediapersons here on Friday.
When mediapersons persisted, she just said “My people are in Mandya and whatever decision I make, I will announce from there.” She further stated that she will announce a big decision today and she will do so in Mandya as Mandya is her home. On questions whether the Congress party – which was long represented by her husband and actor Ambareesh in Mandya – failed to consider her expectations, MP Sumalatha simply stated she will speak in Mandya. She is scheduled to speak to the media in Mandya today at 12 noon.
Political circles are abuzz with the rumours that she is joining BJP. Earlier, she met BJP president J P Nadda in Bengaluru on Thursday night. She also held deliberations with former Union Minister and BJP leader S M Krishna. Even JD(S) leader C S Puttaraju claimed that she will join BJP on Friday. Only a formal announcement by her – which she is expected to make today – will put these rumours to rest.
