Assault on journalist Kaiser! SDPI national general secretary demands booking of murder attempt case against assailants

Mysuru: Social Democratic Party India (SDPI) national general secretary Abdul Majeed has demanded for filing a murder attempt case against the assailants in the case of assault against journalist Mohammed Safdar Kaiser.
Majeed who called on Kaiser and his cameraman undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the city, demanded a stringent action against the attackers and sending them to jail at the earliest.
Kaiser and his cameraman were assaulted during the convention of Hindu Jagarana Vedike, in the city recently.
Majeed spoke to media persons and said “It is a serious case as the BJP government has failed to maintain law and order. Even the journalists lack security. The police should understand the seriousness of this particular assault case and file attempt to murder case against the accused.”
SDPI District unit President Amjad Khan, Vice- president Rafath Khan, State committee member Moulana Nooruddin, district committee member Shafiulla, Fairoz, Tajamul and others were present.
