1 min read

Mysuru: The second Friday of Ashada – today (June 30) – was celebrated with religious fervour at Sri Chamundeshwari temple, atop Chamundi Hills.

Devotees had queued up from as early as 4 am to seek the darshan of the ruling deity. The temple was open from 5 am and the Goddess Chamundeshwari was adorned in ‘Simhavahini’ alankara.

Meanwhile, the temple authorities had made arrangements for special darshan with tickets priced at Rs 300 and Rs 50. Following the government directions, senior citizens provided a direct entry to the temple.

The temple will be open until 11.30 pm and there will be free bus ride in KSRTC buses from Lalitha Mahal helipad. The district administration has banned entry of private vehicles to the hills to ease traffic congestion, hence KSRTC is providing free ride up to the hills from the helipad.
