Asha workers thanked for their contribution to fight corona, given cheques

Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar thanked the people of Nanjangud for their co-operation during the lockdown period. They experienced inconvenience in great deal, yet they fought with the district administration against the spread of the Coronavirus. 

He was speaking at a programme organised to provide cheques to the Asha workers in Nanjangud on Monday. 
 
Co-operation minister ST Somashekhar provided a cheque for Rs 3,000 to Asha workers.
 
MLA Harshvardhan said that we may have managed to contain the spread of Corona virus but we still have a long way to go. He appealed to the people to wear masks, maintain hygiene and social distancing and not to forget to use sanitisers. 
 
MDCC Bank president Harish Gowda appreciated the role of Asha workers in containing the spread of Corona virus. To honour their selfless service, the co-operation department is alone providing them financial assistance.
 
He thanked minister Somashekhar for this gesture. 
 
SP Rhyshyanth, ZP CEO Prashanth Kumar Mishra were present.
