Arrest Eshwarappa demand gets louder! Siddaramaiah to lead Congress protest rally from Gandhi Square to DC office on April 20

Mysuru: In view of the protest planned against former minister K S Eshwarappa on Wednesday, Mysuru District (City) Congress Committee conducted a preliminary meeting at Indira Congress Bhavan in the city on Monday.

The protest will be staged under the leadership of Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah demanding the arrest of Eshwarappa who is facing the charges of abetment to suicide of Belagavi based civil contractor Santosh K Patil at a lodge in Udupi on April 12. Besides, to condemn the corruption in BJP led state government. 

Former MLA Vasu addressed the preparatory meeting organised in association with Mysuru district rural Congress Committee.

It was resolved in the meeting to stage protest at Gandhi Square at 11 am.

Later a rally will be taken out to the deputy commissioner’s office in the city where a memorandum will be submitted.

About 10,000 party workers are expected to attend the protest rally including MLAs, former MLAs, elected representatives and office-bearers of all levels.

MLC Dr D Thimmaiah, former MLA M K Somashekar, former mayors T B Chikkanna and Pushpalatha Chikkanna, former ZP President K C Latha Siddashetty, former Corporator Shivanna, KPCC general secretary M Lakshmana, City Congress President R Murthy and Rural Congress Committee President Dr B J Vijaykumar and several other leaders attended the meeting.
