Arrangements made as per Prez office’s instructions: Minister
2 min readMysuru: With President of India Draupadi Murmu scheduled to inaugurate Navaratri festivities atop Chamundi Hill on Monday, all the arrangements have been made complying with the instructions of Rashtrapati Bhavan officials, said Cooperation and district incharge Minister S T Somashekar.
Speaking to media persons on Sunday after inspecting the arrangements made at the hill, Somashekar said “as per the instructions from President’s office, only 13 dignitaries are allowed on the dais, apart from four president’s office staff who will be seated in the back row. That apart seating arrangements has been made for 1100 people for witnessing the opening of the festivities”.
Upon our request during our visit to invite for the festivities, the President has also consented for a photo session outside the temple for 10 minutes, said Somashekar.
The President who will be landing at Mysuru Airport at 9 AM will drive straight to Chamundi Hill to inaugurate Navaratri festivities. It will be followed by a photo session with selected tribals from Hunsur, Periyapatna and H D Kote at the hotel. The President will later leave for Hubballi, with the chief minister accompanying the dignitary in keeping with the protocol, informed Somashekar.
Overall 90 per cent of the arrangements are over as the officials are involved in the tasks with much seriousness, said Somashekar.
Mayor Shivakumar, Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha, former MUDA Chairman H V Rajiv, Deputy Commissioner Dr Bagadi Gautham, Police Commissioner Dr Chandragupta, DCP ( Crime and Traffic) Geetha Prasanna, chief priest of the temple Shashishekar Dixit and others were present.
