Mysuru: A doctor couple are tying the knot at a choultry in Nanjangud in the district. But more than the couple what has caught the eyes is groom’s father!
The wax idol of the groom’s father is among the witnesses for the solemn occasion.

The wedding of Dr Yatish of Ajjampura in Kadur taluk in Chikkamagaluru and Dr Apoorva of Malkundi in Nanjangud taluk is scheduled Saturday and Sunday.
Yatish lost his father Ramesh to Covid-19 a year ago. Like every doting son, he was not ready to tie the knot in his father’s absence.

Hence he got the wax idol of his father done, that firmly adorns the chair on the centre of Santhana Ganapathi Kalyana Mantap in Nanjangud.
As the rituals began, Dr Yatish’s mother sat next to the idol to complete the occasion.
Yatish is doing his MD at JSS Ayurveda College and Hospital at Lalithadripura in the outskirts of the city.
Wish every parents are blessed with the children who keep their memory alive.
