Annual sports meet of Seshadripuram Independent PU College: Dr Chinthana stresses on importance of sports

Mysuru: The 10th annual sports meet of Seshadripuram Independent Pre-University
College, Mysuru, was held at the MUDA Sports Complex, Vijayanagar 1st Stage,
Mysuru on December 21.
Dr Chinthana M Patkar, athlete by passion and anaesthesiologist by profession, Dr Sowmya Erappa K, Principal Seshadripuram Degree College, Mysuru, Archana Swamy N, the college’s Principal and Pradeep Kumar, PEI of the college, gave a radiant start to the
energetic programme by releasing the pigeons to spread the message of peace and
harmony.
The programme began with the administration of oath, instigating the
sportsmanship in all the participants.
Dr Chinthana, being the chief guest of the
programme, spoke about the importance of sports in daily life and encouraged the
students to explore their talents and abilities to reach their destinations.
Principal Archana Swamy N addressed the participants and encouraged
them to boost their sportsman spirit.
The sports meet included various events like Shot Put, javelin throw, discus throw, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1500 metres relay and 4×100 metres relay.
