Mysuru: The Annual Feast of Infant Jesus at the Infant Jesus Cathedral, Hinkal is being celebrated from January 11 to 19.
The celebrations will begin with the flag
hoisting by Rev Msgr Thomas Thennattil Augusthy, the Parish Priest at 6.30 pm, on Saturday, followed by the Holy Mass and Novena by Rev fr Ajesh Enayil.
Rev Fr Sojan Aikkarakunnel MST, Regional Director, St Thomas Mission, Mandya will celebrate the Holy Mass and Novena at 8 am on Sunday. There will be Holy Mass and Novena at 6.30 pm on all days from Monday to Friday.
Rev Fr Thomas Mangalathil, Director, Jeevadharu, H D Kote will celebrate the Holy Mass and Novena at 6-30 pm on Saturday followed by the Eucharistic Procession, lead by Rev Fr Paul Manjooran, Director, Catechism, Diocese of Mandya and Rev Fr Rony Puthenveettil, Rector, Mother Teresa Seminary, Mandya.
On Sunday, the Main Feast Day, there will be Holy Mass at 7 am. Mar Sebastian Adayanthrath, Bishop of Mandya will be the main celebrant for the Solemn High
Mass at 10.30 am.
Around 3,000 people are expected to take part in the anasantharpane at 12.30 pm. Archbishop Bernard Mores, Apostolic Administrator, Diocese of Mysore will officiate the Solemn Festal High Mass in Kannada at 4.30 pm, followed by the grand candle light procession in honour of Infant Jesus with the famous shingarimela to the Hinkal Ring road
Junction.
There will be shingarimela performance and fireworks display at 7.30 pm, followed by the Water DJ and the entertainment event by famous Malayalam serial star Sreeveshkumar.
