Amidst Covid-19 pandemic, Nikhil Revathi kalyana in Ramanagara

Ramanagar: Amidst lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, former prime minister H D Deve Gowda’s grandson Nikhil Kumaraswamy entered into wedlock with Revathi at Ramanagara on Friday morning.

H D Deve Gowda and his wife Channamma take part in dhara muhurat of their grandson Nikhil and Revathi at Ramanagara. Former CM H D Kumaraswamy and his wife Anita are seen.

As scheduled, the marriage took place between 9.15 am and 9.45 am in a very low key affair and only close family members attended the event.

Former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy had planned a grand wedding for his son at Palace Grounds earlier. But due to the Corona effect, he had to shift the venue to his farmhouse located in Ketuganahalli in Bidadi taluk, Ramanagara district.

As many as 42 vehicles were allowed to enter the venue by the police and those who did not have the pass were denied entry. Police had put up barricades near Bidadi on Bengaluru-Mysuru highway.

Despite the fear of the virus’ spread, neither the bride and groom nor the family members wore masks or even ensured social distancing.
