Alok Mohan given additional charge as DG&IGP

Bengaluru: In view of DG & IGP Praveen Sood being appointed as the director of CBI, DGP, Fire and Emergency Services and Home Guards, Alok Mohan has been given the additional charge of the Director General and Inspector General of Police. He will assume office on Monday.
A native of Bihar, Mohan is a 1987 batch officer. An alumnus of IIT-Roorkee and Harvard University, he became an IPS officer at the age of 22.
