Bengaluru: All eyes are on the High Court verdict related to Hijab row on Tuesday.
The three- judge full bench headed by Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court Ritu Raj Awasthi, including Justice Krishna Dixit and Justice J M Khazi is expected to pronounce the judgment at 10.30 am.
After 11 days of hearing, the full judge bench had reserved the judgment on February 25, over the petitions of students along with public interest litigations (PIL) related to the matter.
Prior to this, on February 10 the Court had issued an interim order stating that “students irrespective of religion and faith are restricted from wearing Hijab, saffron shawls, scarf, religious flags among others in the classroom, until further orders”.
In the view of the verdict, the district administrations across the State have extended the prohibitory orders under Section 144 related to schools and colleges, to prevent any untoward incidents.
