Alert MCC officer stops plastic carry bag supplier

Mysuru: Despite total ban on plastic carry bags, the banned material is still making its way into markets in an unscrupulous manner.
MCC officials who were keeping track on such illegal activities, had spotted a two- wheeler rider three months ago. He was supplying the banned plastic carry bags and was meticulously escaping from watchful eyes.
On Saturday morning, Rajeshwari a health inspector of MCC Zone-2 who is holding additional charge, came across the two-wheeler rider near Nanjumalige circle. She along with another officer succeeded in stopping him. Plastic carry bags were found in three huge bags. When calculated it weighed about 39 kg.
A notice has been served on him to appear for enquiry at the MCC head office on Monday. The vehicle also has been seized.
