Bengaluru: After reports of AirAsia flight taking off without Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot from Kempegowda International Airport indicated a breach of protocol, the flight operator has regretted the incident.
In a clarification issued to media houses, it said “We sincerely regret the incident. An investigation is being conducted and appropriate action will be taken. The senior leadership team of the airline is in contact with the Governor’s Office to address the concerns. Our commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and adherence to protocol remains unwavering, and we deeply value our relationship with the Governor’s Office.”
It may be recalled here that Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot was refused to board AirAsia India flight from Kempegowda International Airport on Thursday. The AirAsia India flight was to leave for Hyderabad and it took off at 2.05 pm without the Governor on board.
