AICC general secretary, Karnataka incharge Randeep Singh Surjewala arrives to a rousing welcome in Mysuru

Mysuru: All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala arrived to a rousing reception of the party workers in the city on Saturday. Surjewala is incharge of Karnataka.

Surjewala accompanied by KPCC President D K Shivakumar arrived in a train from Hubballi.

In the day long divisional meeting that stretches up to 4 pm at Silent Shores Resorts, Surjewala will be meeting  Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, Opposition Leader in Legislative Council S R Patil, KPCC Working Presidents Eshwar Khandre, Satish Jarkiholi, R Dhruvanarayan, R Ramalinga Reddy and Saleem Ahmed and other leaders.

The meeting of DCC presidents, 2019 MP and MP candidates, 2018 MLAs and MLA candidates, MLCs and MLC candidates, former MPs, former MLCs, former MLAs is also scheduled.

Both the leaders will also be meeting the party workers and leaders from Mysuru city and rural, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Kodagu and Chamarajanagar districts.

Soon after their arrival, the enthused party workers took them in a traditional procession from the railway station to the party office- Indira Congress Bhavan.

Surjewala and Shivakumar were ferried in traditional sarot- the horse drawn chariot.

The party workers gathered on either sides offered a garlan of apples and showered flower petals standing on the bucket of an earth moving vehicle.
