Chamarajanagar: After a gap of two months, Male Mahadeshwara Swamy temple at M M Hills will reopen for devotees from Monday. The devotees can have darshan of the lord  from 6 AM to 6 PM complying with Covid protocol.

As part of unlock process, chief secretary to the state government has ordered to reopen temples for devotees from July 5 onwards.

Covid norms like wearing face mask, maintaining social distance and sanitiser should be followed by the devotees. Barring darshan facility, the devotees are restricted from taking part in the rituals. The prohibition on dasoha (mass feeding) to the devotees will continue to be in place.

Male Mahadeshwara Development Authority has issued a statement, highlighting that “It is mandatory to wear the mask. The devotees should assemble at Ranga Mandira complying with the Covid guidelines. There will be no transportation service from the Authority.”
