After surviving murder bid, Tanveer Sait attends identification parade

Mysuru: Less than two months after he survived a murder bid, former minister and MLA Tanveer Sait took part in the identification parade on January 09.

Sait who was in a sabbatical in Dubai, after his discharge from the hospital, came down to Mysuru on January 8.

According to the procedure, Sait should identify the accused in the identification parade, to facilitate further investigation. Along with Sait, six other eye witnesses have been summoned to identify the accused.

It may be recalled that Sait was attending a marriage reception at Bal Bhavan Grounds in Bannimantap on November 18, when he was attacked by a youth identified as Farhan Pasha.

Pasha had brought a dagger along with him, with which he hit Sait on a part of his neck inflicting grievous wound. He was successfully operated upon in Columbia Asia Hospital, where he was treated till his discharge.
