Bengaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy had already put a gag order on himself, staying away from media. Now, it’s the turn of his party- Janata Dal ( Secular) spokespersons.
The JD(S) legislature party meeting held on Friday, has decided to restrict its spokespersons from appearing in panel discussions on TV channels. The decision was taken after both the national and State president of the party discussed the issue and will come into immediate effect.
According to a note in the letter head of M S Narayan Rao, former MLA and State JD(S) working president, dated May 25, and addressed to whosoever it’s concerned, it is instructed that ‘ No spokespersons will speak or issue any statement to both electronic and print media. Nobody claiming as spokesperson shall take part in the discussions on news channels. The order should not be violated’.
