African Hunting Cheetahs new attractions at Mysuru zoo for Dasara

Mysuru: Finally African Hunting Cheetahs will be on display for the visitors to Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysuru zoo) from October 15. They will be the new attraction for Dasara.

Cooperation and district incharge minister S T Somashekar will open the enclosure on that day. 

According to zoo authorities, African Cheetans arrived on August 18 and completed nearly 40 days of quarantine period, before releasing them for public view. 
Two female and one male Cheetah were air lifted from South Africa to Singapore, before landing in Bengaluru and reaching Mysuru  by road.
Mysuru Zoo is the first zoo to house African Cheetahs in the state and second after Hyderabad Zoo in the country.
