1 min read

Mysuru: Advocate M Ramakrishna staged a lone protest against the reported plans of chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to donate a golden chariot worth Rs 80 crore to Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Swamy Temple in Dakshina Kannada district to fulfil his pending vow.

Ramakrishna who is popularly known as Paduvarahalli Ramakrishna staged a sit-in in front of Mahatma Gandhi’s bust outside law court complex on Tuesday.

In his memorandum to deputy commissioner, Ramakrisha has urged the chief minister to drop the plan as it involves spending of Rs 80 crore from the government’s coffer of tax payers money. Instead the amount could be spent on drinking water supply and addressing the requirements of drought hit areas.

Such intentions of the chief minister will raise fingers towards the style of functioning of a chief minister. Whether CM is working for the people or to fulfil his personal interests?, he has questioned.
