1 min read

Mysuru: A key meeting of senior police officers, who are investigating the ‘Santro Ravi’ case will be held in Mysuru today around 12.30 pm. ADGP Alok Kumar will chair the meeting where Mysuru City Police Commissioner Ramesh Banoth will be present with other officers.

After pictures of some BJP ministers with the accused K S Manjunath alias ‘Santro Ravi’ – who is accused of trafficking – went viral, ‘Santro Ravi’ has become a headache to the ruling government. The Opposition parties are leaving no stone unturned to put the BJP in embarrassment. With Assembly elections in the pipeline, the BJP does not want to do anything that could dent its image. After the pictures went viral, the Mysuru police were asked to investigate the 11-year-old case.

However, the accused ‘Santro Ravi’ is absconding since the pictures went viral and the police teams are searching for him in Mysuru, Bengaluru, Mandya, Hasssan, Ramanagar and even in neighbouring states.

Meanwhile, the bail application of ‘Santro Ravi’ has been rejected by the Mysuru court.
