ADGP Hithendra holds meeting with police officers of Southern Range

Mysuru: ADGP (Law and Order) IPS Hithendra R held a meeting with Southern Range police officers here on Wednesday.
Dr M Boralingaiah, DIG, Southern Range, SP Seema Latkar and other officers were present at the meeting.
ADGP Hithendra’s meeting with the police officers of the region assumes significance in the backdrop of murder of Yuva Brigade activist in T Narasipur on Sunday.
It may be recalled here that Yuva Brigade activist Venugopal Nayak was allegedly hacked to death during Hanuma Jayanti in T Narasipur on Sunday. His death has rocked the ongoing State Assembly with the Opposition BJP accusing the State government of ignoring Hindu activist’s death. The State BJP unit had even formed a fact-finding committee to find out the truth in Nayak’s murder. The committee headed by BJP general secretary CT Ravi had visited Nayak’s family on Tuesday and offered their condolences.
Meanwhile, district in-charge minister Dr H C Mahadevappa is expected to visit Nayak’s house on Thursday.
