Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa denies allegation of assaulting a hotel worker

Bengaluru: Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa on Thursday denied the allegation of film director Indrajit Lankesh that he had assaulted a supplier at Hotel Sandesh De Prince in Mysuru.
Darshan who is in the centre of the controversy, however admitted that he had scolded that supplier over food, but didn’t assault him.
The issue is being dragged out of proportion, said Darshan.
Darshan is in the news for the last few days as there was an attempt to cheat a bank in his name.
The perpetrators had made a bid to raise a loan of Rs 25 crore by pledging the forged documents of Darshan’s assets as a collateral, with film producer Umapathi, Darshan’s friends Rakesh Papanna, Harsha Melanta and others in the dock.
A woman named Aruna kumari was the centre of the case as she had allegedly approached Umapathi in the guise of a bank employee.
