Accept and circulate coins of Rs 10 denomination: Chamarajanagar DC

Chamarajanagar: Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Nag on Wednesday appealed to the people to use coin in the denomination of Rs 10 in daily transaction.
The people should not pay heed to the unfounded rumours, as it has come to notice that fake coins with a face value of Rs 10 are in circulation. Following the misinformation, people are refraining from accepting the coin. The Rs 10 coin is a legal tender issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), which can be used across the country. The coin is being used and circulated in all other States, clarified DC Shilpa Nag.
The people should not lend hear to rumours that affects general economic activities.
The KSRTC conductors, auto drivers, hotels, restaurants, Indira canteens, Medical stores, film theatres, roadside vendors and private institutions should accept and circulate Rs 10 coins, said Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Nag.
