ACB raids nine BDA middlemen; finds ‘ill-gotten’ wealth to large extent

Bengaluru: In a major drive against tainted men, Anti- Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths raided Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) middlemen in the wee hours of Tuesday. 

More than 100 raids are being conducted simultaneously at nine locations in Bengaluru under the leadership of ACB SP Uma Prashanth. 

The raids were prompted by the suspicion/allegations that the accused middlemen had an unholy nexus with officials and were involved in corruption and irregularities.

As per the latest reports, the ACB officials stumbled upon ill-gotten wealth to such an extent that most of them in question were leading a lavish life.

While one middlemen had swimming pool in the compound, another had a collection of exotic wrist watches and sun glasses. While another had over four kg gold in his bungalow. A middleman wielded clout and was engaged in transfer lobby, seeing to it that the officers of his choice were posted in key offices to get his work done. 

Those raided are as follows;

3. Manoj, Domlur

4. Munirathna, Mallathahalli

5. Teju alias Tejaswi, RR Nnagar

6. Ashwath, Muddinapalya, Mallathahalli

7. Rama, Chamundeshwari Nagar BDA layout

8. Lakshmana, Chamundeshwari Nagar BDA layout

9. Chikkahanumayya, Muddinapalya
