ACB raid on 18 officers in various parts of Karnataka

Bengaluru: In a major crackdown on the officials facing charges of owning assets disproportionate to their known sources of income, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted simultaneous raids against 18 officers at over 70 places in the State on Wednesday.
A whopping over 100 officers and several hundreds of staff are a part of the raid involved in search and seizure of assets and documents to be verified.
Among those raided include Inspector H N Balakrishna of Vijayanagar police station of Mysuru and Excise Inspector Chaluvaraju of Gundlupet in Chamarajanagar district.

Sources said “several kgs of Sandalwood and also a note counting machine is found during the raid on a forest officer”.
