SUV carrying Raitha Sangha chief falls into pit

Chamarajanagar: A sports utility vehicle ( SUV) carrying Karnataka Rajya Raita Sangha president Badagalapura Nagendra and two others met with a mishap near Hondarabalu in the district on Friday. Fortunately all have escaped unhurt.
Nagendra along with Sangha State vice- president Channapatna Ramanna and writer Puneeth was travelling to Amritabhoomi to attend the marriage ceremony of Narendra and Kavita. Nagendra was the chief guest for the simple marriage ceremony.
Puneeth was driving the vehicle which skidded due to the slushy surface caused due to heavy rains. The car turned turtle and fell into a nearby pit.
Chanankeshava Swamiji who was travelling behind in another car rescued Nagendra and others.
