ATMEya 2020! Call to ‘Save The Wild’ for posterity gets louder

Mysuru: “ATMEya 2020” annual cultural festival of ATME College of Engineering was celebrated on March 06. The theme for the year was “Save The Wild”.

Senani of the renowned wildlife photographers duo Kripakar- Senani said “Like man, every living beings have the right to live to maintain ecological balance. Hence we have the responsibility to protect natural resources, especially the forests”.

ATME College of Engineering authorities handing over a cheque towards adoption of animals of Mysuru zoo to its Executive Director Ajit Kulkarni in Mysuru.

Ajit Kulkarni the executive director of Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens said “the survival of nature is interconnected with wildlife, as everybody is interdependent on each other. Or else, it will have a negative impact on geographical system. All have the responsibility to create awareness on bio- diversity”.

ATME college authorities handed over a cheque towards adoption of five animals of the zoo to Ajit Kulkarni.

Kripakar- Senani and Ajit Kulkarni were felicitated on the occassion.

Principal Dr L Basavaraj spoke on the significance of annual day. Cultural committee chairman Dr P K Mahesh briefed about the activities organised as part of annual day.

ATME Governing Council member Dr Shakeeb- Ur- Rehman the former principal of SJCE presided. ATME Honorary Secretary K Shivashankar was present.

Vasuki Vaibhav of Bigg Boss fame and his troupe performed a musical nite for the applause of the gathering. Comedy nite by Shivaraj K R Pet, Nayana and Hitesh was the show stopper.
