Mysuru: Police Commissioner K T Balakrishna has clamped prohibitory orders in the 500 metres radius of Town Hall on December 16.
The orders issued under Karnataka Police Act 35 will be in force up to midnight hours.
The orders are issued in the wake of possibilities of protests by various organisations in front of Town Hall at 2 PM in protest against Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
If bike rallies, processions and rallies are taken out, it may disrupt normal life and affect properties, as several such instances are being reported across the country due to the implementation of the Act.
Barring Town Hall premises, the ban orders apply to Mahaveer Circle ( Doddagadiyara), Ashoka road, A V road and Gandhi Square. The orders have been issued in view of public safety and law and order, the commissioner said in a press release.
