Police stations have become Congress offices: Opposition Leader R Ashok

1 min read

Bengaluru: While visiting B R Ambedkar Hospital in Bengaluru, Opposition Leader R. Ashok spoke to the media regarding the suicide case of BJP worker Vinay Somayya.

He expressed that this incident has caused pain to their workers.

“Vinay was a well-educated person, and his wife is a software engineer. For the past 2-3 months, Congress MLAs and their close associate Tennira Mahina have been harassing him through the SP. The MLA’s threats have been mentioned in the death note. Even after Vinay left Madikeri and came to his home in Bengaluru, the police continued to harass him. Police stations have become Congress offices,” he said, expressing his outrage.

He further stated, “The police are being used to settle political vendettas. A police officer who received the CM’s medal has faced a Lokayukta raid. Action must be taken against those responsible for Vinay’s suicide, and a proper investigation is needed for that. The Kodagu SP should be suspended. We will decide on our course of action tomorrow. We have filed complaints against Tennira, Ponnanna and MLA Mantar Gowda.”
