New SWR General Manager lists priorities; dedicates new vehicles to RPF

Hubballi: Mukul Saran Mathur, who took charge as the General Manager of South Western Railway (SWR) on March 1 was greeted with an RPF Guard of Honour at Rail Soudha, Gadag Road, Hubballi on Saturday, marking the beginning of his tenure.

Upon arrival, Mukul Saran Mathur flagged off eight new motorcycles and three Bolero cars dedicated to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) squad, reinforcing SWR’s commitment to strengthening security and vigilance across its network.
Following the welcome ceremony, Mathur conducted a high-level review meeting with all Principal Heads of Departments (PHODs), Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) and senior officials of South Western Railway.

During the meeting, the General Manager outlined his priorities for the zone, focusing on key areas such as:
Safety Measures: Ensuring the highest safety standards and the swift implementation of KAVACH in critical areas.
Passenger Convenience & Amenities: Enhancing passenger experience through digital solutions and improved facilities.
Freight Loading & Earnings: Strengthening freight operations to maximize revenue and improve logistics efficiency.
Infrastructure Development: Expediting major railway infrastructure projects, including New Railway Line, Doubling and Electrification.
Train Connectivity & Speed Upgradation: Improving train services, enhancing connectivity, and increasing train speeds to benefit passengers.
Manpower Management: Optimising workforce ututilisation for operational efficiency.
Mathur emphasised the significance of teamwork and innovation in achieving the railway’s goals.

He expressed confidence in the dedication of SWR’s workforce and urged all officials to work towards enhancing operational efficiency and passenger satisfaction.
