Car plunges into trench near Jayanagar railway underbridge

Mysuru: A car driver had a miraculous escape, after the vehicle plunged into a water filled trench, created after the road behind Government School, was dug for a work at K G Koppal in the city on Saturday.
Most of the vehicle drivers take this road leading towards Jayanagar Railway Underbridge, when the railway gates are closed at the intersection of Krishnamurthypuram and Jayanagar.
The car driver, seems to have driven ahead in the dark at around 11 pm, unnoticing the trench, during the rain that lashed the city in the night.
The absence of street lights at that time is also the reason for the accident.
The car was pulled out from the trench with the help of a tractor on Sunday morning.
No complaint has been registered in this regard at the Police station.
