Fearing life threat, social activist writes to Chief Minister’s office for security

Mysuru: Social activist N Gangaraj who is in the forefront of unearthing irregularities related to land, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and saving public properties, has requested for police security to his family and gunman for himself, owing to apparent life threat they are facing from the land sharks.

Gangaraj has submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister’s office for providing security to his family and him.

Inspector of Kuvempunagar Police station, under whose limits Gangaraj resides in Kuvempunagar third stage, has replied stating, if found essential, take the Police security as per rules, by paying the stipulated fee for the family and self.

The Inspector has explained that, your (Gangaraj) house is marked under smart e- beat system, with the Police recording their attendance both in the morning and night times. The Police Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-inspector, Cheetah, Garuda and crime and intelligence wing staff in plain clothes, are patrolling around your house.

They have been instructed to collect inputs related to any threat from strangers.
